Church Highlight: River City Underground – Richmond, VA

RIver City Church, in Richmond, Virginia exists to build Christ-centered communities, one person at a time. River City strives to create a family of churches, each built on God’s call to make disciples through intentional mentorship relationships centered on transparency, trust, and truth.

Lead Pastor, Josh Burtram, leads the charge in following God’s call to execute the vision. He’s got a degree in Pastoral Ministry with a minor in Biblical Languages from the University of Valley Forge.

In 2008 Pastor Josh knew God was calling him to plant a church. In 2010 he married his wife, Ashley and they worked in ministry together at several different churches over the years. Almost 15 years later, God made good on HIs promise and in 2019 Pastor Josh and his family moved back to his home state, Virginia to plant River City Underground Church.

God has given them a vision to plant a family of churches, each one built on God’s call to make disciples and build leaders through intentional mentoring relationships. All of this rests on the foundation of God’s eternal Word, the Bible, and the faithful preaching of the Gospel to everyone who needs to hear it.
