Purpose Community Church, located in Stone Mountain, Georgia believes that every person was born for a God-given purpose, and it is their passion to help people discover their purpose through our life’s journey. Stone Mountain is known for its natural park areas surrounding mountains and it has a population of about 6,700 people.

Pastor Melvin L. Bell is the lead pastor of Purpose Community Church. He is a devoted husband to his wife Quinn and father to two daughters. Pastor Melvin has spent the last 20 years coaching leaders in the nonprofit sector and mentoring young men. He has traveled across the country speaking on topics of leadership and personal development. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree. He believes transforming the lives of individuals is essential when aiming to transform our communities and society.

Serving as the lead pastor of Purpose Community Church, Pastor Melvin focuses on meeting the needs of the community and helping individuals fulfill their purpose in life. He is an advocate for those who are economically disadvantaged and has coached individuals, groups, and communities on relationship-building for over 20 years.

Purpose Community Church is known as the church for all people. They want people to know they belong. That’s why they have several opportunities for people to connect. They are passionate about getting people connected to the church community that loves people, directs people, supports people, and empowers people. They desire for people to pursue and discover their God-given purpose, and to use that purpose for God’s glory in every community in which they find themselves.
