Church Highlight: Pacific Coast Church – San Clemente, CA

On June 5, 1955, Pastor Oliver Siemens conducted the first service for Pacific Coast Church at the San Clemente Boat Club in San Clemente, California. He never anticipated how this small church family of twenty would prosper and grow in the seaside community of San Clemente.

After a few short years, God provided new leadership and a larger church site located in downtown San Clemente. PCC’s strong Biblical foundation and desire to serve its church family and community created numerous ministry opportunities to glorify God and bless the San Clemente population.

In 1990, the Senior Pastor at that time led the church body as it built a new and larger facility on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Under God’s leadership, guidance and provision, PCC continues to grow and prosper.

Lead Pastor, Mark Ambrose, became the Outreach Pastor at Pacific Coast Church in 1995, served as Executive Pastor from 1996-2003 and was the Senior Associate Pastor from 2003-2006. On February 8, 2006, Mark was installed by the Elders and the Church Members of Pacific Coast Church as the new Lead Pastor. Mark and his wife, Susan, married in 1982 and have 3 children, Brittany, Evan and Brennan, and 6 grandchildren.

The relocation boom to Southern California combined with the area’s desperate need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ has provided unique opportunities for this church to serve its body and community. From a group of 20 believers to a congregation of more than 1,100, God has remained faithful to PCC during its history as they remain committed to reaching people for Christ, growing followers of Christ, and connecting together in Christ in San Clemente and around the world.

Please join us this week as we celebrate and lift up our friends at Pacific Coast Church in prayer! We are excited about all God is doing and will continue to do in and through them!
