Church Highlight: New Life Copan – Copan, OK

Copan, Oklahoma is a small town in Washington County. Copan has a population of 796 people and Washington County has a population of  52,455. Copan is also home to New Life Copan. New Life is a presence driven church not built around denomination but built around the presence of God. They desire to see the power of God change people’s lives.

Pastors John and April Serio are the lead pastors of New Life. They met at Bible College in Dallas, Texas, and have been in ministry since 1993. They have served as youth pastors, associate pastors, senior pastors, and church planters. Pastor John holds a Practical Theology Diploma from Christ of the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX, a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Faith Evangelical Seminary, and a Master’s in Arts in Ministry and Leadership from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Pastor John and his wife April have been married for 31 years. April has served as a Marketplace Chaplain ministering in business and is an active part of the ministry they lead together. Together, they desire to see all people find a place of peace and a home church where they can be fed and ministered to. They are passionate about seeing their church family grow, and as they receive love, acceptance, and grace, go out and minister to others.
