20 Mar Church Highlight: MYChurch – Mustang, OK
MyChurch is located in Mustang, Oklahoma. Mustang has a population of about 22,000 people. MYChurch was founded by Pastor Steve and Krista Cowan and since Steve was 18 years old, he knew he was called to the ministry. He has worked a full-time job while serving in several different roles in the ministry for the past 20 years and it has helped him develop good work ethic and leadership skills. Over the past several years he has known that God was calling him to plant a church. His wife Krista and their three children were so excited about planting their new church and being a part of all the great things to come at MYChurch.
Pastor Steve and Krista planted MYChurch in 2009. God gave them a vision to be a life-giving church where thousands of lives would be changed through a genuine connection with Jesus Christ. Their vision is to create a community through genuine connections with authentic believers and to witness their city transformed by the life changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Their ultimate goal as a church is to “make Jesus Known through genuine connection.”
MYChurch encourages people to come just as they are and experience their friendly atmosphere every week, while also being uplifted through a message that reminds you that God is crazy about you. Through fellowship, believing and involvement, MYChurch offers the opportunity to connect with God and others. Pastor Steve and His family anticipate that God is going to continue to do great and mighty things through their church and they are thrilled to be along for the ride.
