Church Highlight: Foundations Church – Grapevine, TX

Foundations Church in Grapevine, Texas believes in the power of building spiritual foundations for a healthy life. Their  journey began in Grapevine where a community of believers came together to worship, learn, and grow.

In 1979, a few families along with a senior pastor founded Pioneer Church in a sleepy town between Dallas and Fort Worth. The church outgrew their property and moved to their current location in 1981 and became known as Abundant Life Assembly of God. As the city of Grapevine expanded, so did the church and the name was changed to Foundations Church. After 40 years of ministry, Foundations Church influences not only the community around them, but the world.

Lead Pastor, Darin Stroud, served as youth and young adult pastor at a church in Wichita, Kansas for 12 years before being elected to serve as District Youth Director for the Assemblies of God Kansas. The position evolved to District Ministries Director which he served in that role for 17 years. Darin earned an M.Div. at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

Pastor Darin and his wife, Marleen, both ordained ministers, joined Foundations Church in Grapevine in August 2022 as lead pastors. Marleen serves as the Culture & Communications Pastor.
