For over five decades, Christ Chapel Church has faithfully lived out its mission of sharing the HOPE of Christ with the world! This clear and compelling vision flows from its commitment to proclaim the power of the Gospel, welcoming every person with the love of Jesus and inviting all generations into deeper discipleship and community.The history of Christ Chapel is a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of spiritual perseverance. The church was established in 1969 as a church plant from the Arlington Assembly of God, beginning with a handful of faithful believers who stepped out in obedience to reach Woodbridge, Dale City, and the greater Northern Virginia region with the love of Christ. From humble beginnings under the leadership of founding pastors like Pastor Gerry Qualls and others through the years, Christ Chapel has grown into a thriving hub of worship, teaching, outreach, and community engagement that continues to impact both its local area and those far beyond its walls.

Under the current leadership of Lead Pastor Dr. Bob Griffith and his wife, Wendy Griffith, the church continues to flourish in both spiritual depth and outward impact. This leadership shepherds a ministry environment that values worship, teaching, community care, and the practical expression of Christ’s love.

What makes Christ Chapel especially inspiring right now is how vibrant and growth-oriented its ministries are. From dynamic Sunday worship experiences—held with joyful hearts and a message of hope—to intentional outreach efforts like school partnerships, homeless ministry teams, mission support around the world, seasonal giving programs, and thriving NextGen ministries for kids, youth, and young adults, the church consistently lives out its mission in many ways. Through community service, growth groups, worship nights, and a heart for equipping every believer to share their faith, Christ Chapel shines as a warm, hope-filled community that truly reflects the love of Jesus to its neighborhood and beyond.
