Church Highlight: Champion City Church – Riverview, FL

Champion City Church, located in Riverview, Florida, was founded by Pastors Bruce and Christal Hall. Their journey began in 2011 when Pastor Bruce felt a divine calling to start a church in Florida after an impromptu trip. Despite initial hesitation, the couple embraced this vision, selling their possessions in 2012 and relocating from Ohio to Florida with their two children. They spent two years in Fort Myers learning about church planting before moving to Tampa in 2014 to lay the groundwork for Champion City Church. The church officially launched on February 26, 2017, realizing the vision they believed God had placed in their hearts.

Pastor Bruce’s ministry background includes a degree in Pastoral Leadership from Ohio Christian University, which he pursued alongside Christal in preparation for their church-planting mission. Their commitment to faith and community has been central to their leadership at Champion City Church, where they continue to serve the Tampa/Riverview area.

Champion City Church’s mission is to help people take their next steps toward Jesus. The church emphasizes values such as diversity, passion, and individual attention, aiming to reflect the diversity of heaven and bridge gaps in the community with the love of Jesus.
