Church Highlight: Believer’s Victory Church – Lake Worth, FL

Lake Worth is a city in east-central Palm Beach County, Florida which is located about 64 miles north of Miami. It holds a population of about 42,000 people. Lake Worth is also the home to Believer’s Victory Church which was founded in 1987 by Pastor Mark DeBehnke.

Believer’s Victory Church was one of the first spirit-filled churches in the Lake Worth community. There were many challenges in the beginning, such as the children’s ministry classes being held inside a bus in the church parking lot. But God’s faithfulness prevailed, and the church continued to grow. In 2022, their beautiful new church building was purchased!

Pastor Peggy Heald is now the Lead Pastor of BVC. She has been in the ministry for over 20 years, and her husband Scott has been serving at BVC for 30 years as the Worship Leader. At 25, after having a successful career in management, Pastor Peggy decided to attend RHEMA Bible Training College in Tulsa, Oklahoma to pursue her love for teaching the Word of God. She later received her Master’s degree in Theology from Life Christian University. Pastor Peggy has a true passion for people and seeing people connect with God.

She and her husband Scott both grew up in the Lake Worth area have been married for over 25 years. They love the eclectic nature of Lake Worth as well as the people who live there.

At BVC their mission is “BELIEVE – BELONG – BUILD.” They want to help each person believe in Jesus, belong to family, and build God’s kingdom. They thrive to be a church that accepts people where they are and equips them for the life Jesus has for them. BVC is a church that wants people to experience the love of Jesus by becoming part of a local church. They have a tremendous team that are committed to serving people in their community no matter what stage of life they are in.

Let’s come together and lift up our friends at Believer’s Victory Church in prayer this week! We are believing that God is going to continue to move through BVC as they help their community to experience a life with Jesus and grow in their walk with God! We are so proud of how well they love others, and we can’t wait to see what God does at BVC next!
