Church Highlight: Cathedral of Praise Church – Dekalb, Illinois

Cathedral of Praise in Dekalb, Illinois, exists to create a place where people can experience the  presence, touch God, and embark on a transformative journey to pursue a life rooted in Christ.

Cathedral of Praise is a vibrant and multicultural  community where people of all backgrounds, ages, and walks of life come together. They value the diversity of their members, understanding that each person brings unique gifts and perspectives. Their vision is “P³ (Presence.People.Purpose)” They aim to connect with God’s presence, love people and  pursue God’s purpose for their lives.

Lead Pastor, Geoffrey Nyatuka grew up in Kenya as a PK (Pastor’s Kid) and came to the United States in 1998 to attend college. He desired to work in computers and obtained a degree in Applied Science Computer Technology Integration specializing in Cyber Crime and Digital Forensics. In 2011 God started working in his heart and called him to the ministry. He  received his exhorter’s license and then participated in the MIP (Ministerial Internship Program) where he became an ordained Minister. Pastor Geoffrey and his wife have been the lead pastors of Cathedral of Praise since 2023.
