Church Highlight: Linwood Community Church – Linwood, NJ

The city of Linwood, New Jersey, boasts an impressive amount of shoreline for a relatively small area. Linwood may only have three traffic lights and a population of close to 7,000 people, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in personality. Access to the water is a draw to this southern Jersey Shore community, as is its proximity to Atlantic City, which is only 11 miles to the east. Linwood is also home to Linwood Community Church.

Linwood Community Church (LCC) is a Bible-believing, gospel-centered church that exists to bring glory to God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. Their strategy is summed up in four words: Gather, Grow, Serve, Share. Gather in worship, Grow in groups, Serve in teams, and Share with their neighbors as well as the nations  Since 1934, LCC has been declaring and displaying the gospel of Jesus in the communities of Linwood, and the greater Atlantic County area.

Jayson Byrd is the Lead Pastor at LCC. His goal is to teach the truth and love people. Academically, Pastor Jayson holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Bible & Pastoral Studies and was ordained by Hampton Park Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.

Pastor Jayson married a jersey girl and his best friend, Jamie. Jamie is originally from New Jersey and, among other things, is involved in the music ministry at LCC. Together they love serving as a team. They love South Jersey, and the calling God has on them in Linwood.
