Church Highlight: Ignite Church – Bay City, TX

Ignite Church is located in the town of Bay City in Texas. Bay City has a population of about 18,000 people. It is the home of a 35 acre expanse of gardens and wildlife along the Colorado River of Texas. When you enter the town, you will experience friendly faces, unique shops and a piece of Texas history when you visit historic downtown Bay City, “The Gateway to the Great Outdoors”.

In early 2014 an awesome journey began. God spoke into the hearts of two local pastors, Chad Hammons and Ed Webbon, and urged them to lead their respective churches into an incredible adventure of joining their stories together to form a brand new church as Co-Pastors. After much prayer, the path was clear and on March 1st, 2015 Ignite Church was launched. Pastor Ed retired in 2021, making Pastors Chad and Diana the Lead Pastors of Ignite Church.

Ignite Church exists to ignite life in the hearts of people by connecting them to Jesus. They are on a mission to create a church that people look forward to attending, where anyone can feel comfortable and where lives are changed because of Jesus. Their goal is to ignite change in their city, county and community.
